Problem with Ram, want to assist?
I've built this configuration and never reached more than 2133 stable. I experimented with XMP settings from 2133 up to 3200, but most systems still faced loading problems and crashes over time. I followed numerous tutorials and tried the Ryzen 2600 (unchanged, auto mode), GTX 1080 (no overclocking). My goal is to hit 2666 stable, ideally aiming for 2933 or even 3200. I'm only interested in getting the value I paid for, so if you have insights or similar setups, please share your experience. I'm willing to spend time testing and sharing screenshots. Thanks to anyone who can assist!
reduce the count, making sure only one remains incorrect while keeping four correct
the system's base level indicates SR 2666 with four channels, confirming compatibility. however, when i replaced the memory to an 8x2 3200, it remained unstable above 2133 mhz.
It has received numerous updates during its three-and-a-half-year lifespan, so try the newest version to see the results. Keep in mind it's an overclock, which means the hardware isn't guaranteeing performance—just a chance it might work. It seems you might have been unlucky with it.
The p5.80 update is the latest supported version for Pinnacle Ridge Line. Exceeding 2133 is considered an overclock.
@emosun's idea to use just two sticks is a solid starting point. Once four are installed, it gets much harder to adjust things. I'm currently away from home and can't help right now. Meanwhile, here are some screenshots of the CPU memory and speed tab. Also check the DL typhoonburner and the speed information there. Then I might be able to recommend some timing options.
