Problem with RAM speed increase.
Problem with RAM speed increase.
Hello everyone, welcome! I'm just starting out with PC builds and have finished setting up my first machine. I'm using a Ryzen 5 5600X on an Asus ROG Strix b550-f gaming Wi-Fi motherboard, paired with a 32GB Patriot Viper Steel 3600MHz RAM kit. After completing the POST, installing Windows, and updating drivers, I opened my BIOS to enable DCOP, which increased my RAM speed to 3600MHz. Right after saving and exiting, I saw an immediate blue screen. Through some trial and error, I discovered the system runs smoothly at 3200MHz but any higher causes the crash. Have you encountered similar issues? I've double-checked that my RAM slots match the motherboard manual and reviewed the spec sheet, which says it supports speeds well above 3600MHz. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Is your latest RAM included in the Qualified Vendors List? You should verify the vendor's website for confirmation. If it's missing, think about alternatives to confirm compatibility with your motherboard. Good luck!
I just verified it appears in the QVL. Appreciate the recommendation!
