I own a gigabyte B450M DS3H Wi-Fi device. It stopped booting suddenly. After reseating the RAM, the problem persisted until I removed the stick in the second slot. When only one stick was in the fourth slot, it booted normally. Swapping the two RAM modules and running a memory health check found no issues. Eventually, I settled for 8GB of RAM despite the troubles. A few days later, I attempted to fix it again—either it wouldn’t start or reported it would reserve all 8GB. The real issue was that the system still thought it had 16GB, consuming excessive memory and freezing constantly. I returned to 8GB. Recently, I upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 1600 to a Ryzen 5 2600X, and the boot slot moved from the fourth to the second position.
