Hi,
I’m experiencing problems with my headset and mouse, especially in certain games. There’s a brief lag followed by the device stopping or both failing. Interestingly, the mouse’s RGB remains functional, indicating it still gets power. The only solution that worked was disconnecting and reconnecting the device. My keyboard is unaffected.

Peripherals used: Logitech G502 wired mouse (some time old) and Steel Series Artic 7+ Wireless Headsets (about 4 months).

Fixes tried: downloaded latest firmware, reinstalled Windows 11, activated on-board memory on the mouse instead of using G-Hub, adjusted USB power settings in Device Manager.

System specs: Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit.

Any suggestions on what to try or install to identify the issue? It might be time to replace these devices.

Which PSU do you have? USB devices might shut down initially if the PC lacks sufficient power. This occurs during gaming when the system is under heavy load.

It's a Gamdias 750W Gold Rated PSU. Any way for me to test the PSU for this?

Best test involves using a multi-meter as software can sometimes be inaccurate.
multimeter

or checking the +3.3V, +5V, and +12V in the BIOS -

BIOS isn't very helpful since the PC isn't under load there.
I don't know the brand and there aren't many reviews for the PSU. Their gold ones are generally reliable. The others have had issues. You might want something from Corsair or Seasonic, depending on your PC's components. If your PC is well-built, a quality PSU is essential.

And if the issues persist, check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.
One or both tools might record an error code, warning, or informational message shortly before or during the problems.

The issue has been fixed. There have been no peripherals turned off, which made the additional 100W necessary. Appreciate all the responses.
