Problem with PC freezing on AORUS logo following Windows 11 setup.
Problem with PC freezing on AORUS logo following Windows 11 setup.
I recently assembled a new PC. At first, everything appeared normal—I could enter the BIOS, all components were recognized, and temperatures were within range. Then I began installing Windows 11 using a bootable USB drive.
I managed to boot into the Windows 11 installer, set up the installation options, and launched the process. But during or after the setup, my screen went dark. After waiting without any progress, I forced a reboot of the system.
Since then, my PC has not booted correctly. Regardless of the method I used—whether using the USB drive with UEFI, the standard USB, the M.2 SSD with Windows 11, or the Windows Boot Manager—it always fails to reach the AORUS logo.
When I power on the machine, the AORUS logo appears with spinning dots, but the spinner freezes before it can start. After roughly ten seconds of being stuck, the system attempts to restart again, yet the PC does not shut down. I can still access the BIOS. Anyone have any insights into this problem and suggestions for a solution? Your assistance would be very much appreciated!
It might be a bad flash drive. If the setup didn’t work and you can’t even start from it, the issue probably lies with the installation device itself. When you reach the "save and exit" screen in BIOS, look for a "boot override" feature to boot using another USB device. If clicking your flash drive there doesn’t take you to the Windows installer, the drive is likely defective.
