Problem with PC CPU temperature rising too high.
I constructed a mid-tower setup in 2021, upgraded to a larger case in August 2024, and had it installed at a local shop for help setting up Lian Li Uni Fans (x10) and installing an extra M.2 SSD. After moving to the east coast in October, I started experiencing crashes since February 2025 due to CPU overheating. I can't reach the BIOS before it shuts down. I've cleaned the components, reapplied fresh thermal paste, reset the BIOS, and tried overclocking via the motherboard switch—this is my first attempt. The problem seems consistent with all troubleshooting steps being followed by others. I've attached the full parts list and would appreciate any insights on what might be causing the overheating.
If you're familiar with all the configurations, I'd disconnect your PC from the power source and upgrade the components—swap the battery out of the BIOS, take a walk for some fresh air, then reinstall it and try again. This should fully reset your BIOS. A stroll outside will help you relax and prevent any sudden actions. (Just trying to clarify...) Is this cooling system air or water-based? Are the fans running? This should give you plenty of time to verify everything before the experts arrive. Hope this helps.
I'm a bit concerned but honestly, I don't usually open PDFs from strangers. We typically use pcpartpicker instead. For example, you can check the list here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/b7JZDj. As mentioned before, if it's an AIO system, make sure the pump is running. If the pump is on or you're using an air cooler, then the issue is probably less likely to be temperature-related. I can boot into BIOS with just a basic Hyper212 setup and some thermal paste without needing to tighten anything. Just keep it in BIOS mode. Running it overclocked would only make things worse.
