Friend came over and adjusted the settings on MSI afterburner. I changed some configurations, but now I still face a black screen with an odd color whenever I try to log in.

The simplest approach is to repeatedly force the system to fail to start three times (press the restart button or pull the power plug once it reaches the Windows loading screen) until it displays the "Please wait" message. Follow the prompts, choose troubleshoot, then adjust startup settings to boot into safe mode. Once in safe mode, remove MSI afterburner, which should resolve the issue and restore functionality.
