Problem with overclocking during startup.
Problem with overclocking during startup.
I have an overclock set at 3.8ghz, but it's not the main problem. When I power on the PC after a long period off, it loads into Windows at 1550mhz even though the BIOS shows 3.8ghz. After restarting once, it returns to the correct speed. It's just something odd happening!
Ben_220 is experiencing some unusual behavior with their PC setup. They currently have an overclock at 3.8ghz, but when the system powers on after a period off, it loads into Windows at 1550mhz despite the BIOS showing 3.8ghz. After restarting once, it returns to 3.8ghz. This is something strange they've noticed. They're using an MSI Tomahawk B350 motherboard, Ryzen 1700 processor, EVGA 600 display, GTX1060 graphics card, and 16GB Corsair RAM at 2933MHz. There appears to be a bug related to the Ryzen CPU's ATM and overclocking combined with sleep mode. They mention that with an OC of 38.50, the system won't wake up from sleep at that speed, staying at 1500mhz, and it reverts when restarted. They've looked into the issue but found no solution. Someone should be aware if anyone has any advice!
