Hey there, I’m just starting out and wanted to ask if anyone could help with my PC speed issues. Right now it’s around 500-900 kb/s, but my phone shows 50-60 MB/s. It’s really frustrating. Any tips on fixing this? Thanks!

Is your computer linked through a wired Ethernet connection or a wireless Wi-Fi network?

No, each device uses a different speed test site or server.

Ensure your connection is stable by inspecting the cable between your router and ISP's internet box. If you've restarted your router, contact your ISP to request a reboot of your modem and telecommunications equipment. Should the issue continue, it indicates an ISP responsibility that they must resolve.

Running the same ping test again confirms consistent results.

It might be your computer, but I checked the internet service too.

It occurred at my residence. My connection was only 100Mb/s instead of the expected 300Mb/s. I inspected all the cables inside, ran an internal speed test, and everything seemed normal. I contacted my ISP, who discovered a damaged cable between my telecom box and the Ethernet jumper in my wall. They repaired it, and I regained full speed.
