I've been attempting to livestream but encountered black bars on the sides that I can't resolve. I'm okay with the top and bottom bars, but the side ones are distracting and affect the appearance. I suspect it's related to my monitor resolution (1400x900), though I'm not certain. Screenshots of the issue are available.

No, I haven't explored that setting yet.

Consider incorporating a custom 1600 x 900 resolution and streaming to evaluate whether it addresses the issue you mentioned.

The left and right black bars come from Twitch's page design. They disappear if you pick Cinema mode, full screen, or open the stream in a popup. Try this with any stream. Toggle the side bars and observe how the window adjusts the stream size. The top and bottom bars are due to your monitor or game resolution, and HD isn't fully compatible. When OBS converts video, it resizes the image to match its output size.

Click with the right mouse button on your game capture source, open properties, then verify fit to screen and disregard aspect ratio.
