Hello, I hope you're in the right spot. After upgrading to the Z690 chipset, I'm experiencing audio crackle or pop during volume changes. This occurs mainly when receiving notifications from Discord, Steam, or similar apps, when adjusting the Windows volume slider, and while pausing or starting a video. It also plays through the YT player on videos, even in music or podcasts. It happens with both 3.5mm jacks and S/PDIF connections. I've read many discussions about this issue dating back to around 2016. I've tried reinstalling Realtek drivers, removing and reinstalling them, but the problem persists. The Z690 Carbon has an ALC4080 sound chip, so troubleshooting options are limited. I've made some registry adjustments for power management, though the driver lacks a fix option. Anyone have any advice? Thanks.

Adjust GPUs audio settings to use monitor output instead of internal speakers.

Another effective solution remains available. Would you like to confirm if a proper resolution exists?

It shouldn't produce a crackling sound when adjusting volume levels, which is typical for older or retro equipment. This usually means the device is damaged or malfunctioning, particularly if the software can't identify the problem. The best solution would be to either swap out the hardware or use an alternative built-in audio source. At a minimum, it should check for issues and indicate that your internal component is faulty without providing further details.

I'll test the monitor and/or a DAC. Thanks.
