Hello! For reference, the buzzing or possible coil whine has become more noticeable about two weeks ago. I've tried various solutions but haven't found a solution. The sound gets louder when the CPU is under load, especially during tasks like running AIDA or Prime65. If the system runs at full CPU capacity, the noise disappears completely. Most games I play don't require much CPU power, so the sound is more noticeable. Interestingly, in a game like Hunt: Showdown, lowering my FPS to 30-60 made the noise stop completely. I used a paper towel tube to pinpoint the source, which was above the CPU socket, possibly near the VRMs or power connectors.

My current setup includes an i9-10850k, MSI Z490, and a Corsair RM850X with 1TB SSD. I've done several changes: replaced the CMOS battery, swapped CPUs, checked for bent pins, disabled Intel's power states, removed the overclocking software, and swapped RAM sticks. I also replaced the case fans and tested with a bare minimum of components to rule out grounding problems.

So far, nothing worked for me. The only fix was moving everything into an older PC built with an ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero Z270 and an i7-7700k. The sound disappeared completely, which led me to suspect the motherboard was the culprit. EVGA assisted by handling a GPU RMA, but it didn't resolve the issue. MSI suggested checking the CMOS battery and power supply, but those steps didn't help either. They offered a return window of 15-35 days, but I'm worried about receiving the same problem.

I'm reaching out for advice and hoping someone has faced a similar situation and knows a quick fix in BIOS settings. Thanks for your time!
