I'm experiencing a delay when starting up my PC. It's not an issue since my previous Am4 model behaved similarly, suggesting it might be a configuration problem. When I power on, everything appears but the fans run at half speed initially, then speed up after about two minutes. The external drives' LEDs blink as if locating them, which takes roughly another minute. Once the screen loads and shows the MSI MAG icon, Windows boots normally in about two more minutes. All components except the external drives are new, and I've tried disconnecting them without success. This seems to be a setting rather than a hardware fault.
Slow startup is a frequent issue for AM5 boards. Have you upgraded the BIOS on your motherboard? Newer BIOS versions improve boot performance.
I discovered my slow startup was linked to precision boost overdrive. By turning off auto and enabling n, the system can take up to 5 minutes to boot. Activating Memory context restore helped reduce boot time, though Windows still needs about 3 minutes for full loading. I’m unsure exactly why this is happening—maybe it’s driver-related—but I don’t know of any software that can pinpoint the exact cause.
No, we don't need to guess. You should provide the details directly.
