Hello, I own a setup with an i5 13400, 32GB DDR4 RAM at 3200MHZ, Firecuda 530 1TB NVMe, ROG Strix B760 A D4 motherboard, Bequiet System Power 10.75W, ASUS Dual RX 6700 XT and Lancool 205C case. The operating system is Windows 11 Pro. I’m experiencing a problem where the microphone is extremely quiet and picks up desktop audio from the headset splitter ports on the motherboard and front panel. When using a headset in front-panel mode, especially under load (like gaming), I hear buzzing sounds in my audio as well. With a USB headset, the issue disappears and audio output works perfectly. After returning my old motherboard via RMA, a replacement was sent without explanation. Now, the same problem occurs with this new unit (different serial number). I’ve switched to a Bequiet power supply to rule out PSU issues, kept all drivers updated, and even reset Windows completely didn’t help. Could any component be affecting the audio on your board? This might not just be audio-related—it could point to a broader hardware concern. One suggestion is adding a UPS, though I’m unsure if that would resolve it since it’s preventive. I also use a surge-protected outlet. Looking forward to your advice and any tips you can share.
