I've been experiencing problems with the headset microphones, they don't pick up any sounds even though the computer detects audio from them. When I play music, the microphone status bar appears during playback but doesn't update when I speak. Switching inputs seems to work, but my voice isn't coming through. It feels like a driver issue with Realtek® Audio. I also had a similar problem with an old headset before, which worked with my laptop.

Please share the details about your microphone or headset model. If you're using a sound card included with your motherboard, feel free to mention its make and model as well. Also, let me know the BIOS version of your motherboard. Regarding your operating system, tell me which OS you're running—specifically note the version (not edition) if you're using Windows 10.
It might be helpful to list all the headsets you've used both in the past and currently.
The product I'm working with right now is the Trust Primo Chat headphones. Previous models included the Turtle Beach Battle Buds. Other devices tried were Razer Man 'o' war, some earbuds, a Corsair wireless headset, and two HyperX headsets. The motherboard model is Z370M D3H, BIOS from American Megatrends Inc, with SMBIOS version 3.0. BIOS mode is UEFI. I'm running Windows 10, OS build 19041.1237.
