I began assembling my PC yesterday and encountered a problem where the motherboard failed to detect the SSD in the first M.2 slot, while it worked in the second. I’ve already checked for BIOS updates. It’s an MSI B550-A PRO with a Crucial P3 SSD.

I faced a comparable problem with my tomahawk after a BIOS update blocked the M.2_2 port. It seems you might need an older BIOS version, as yours from early October last year is functioning well now.

I checked the gap between the two slots and it's noticeable enough to switch to the second one.

It won’t be obvious, it’s almost undetectable
