Hey there, I received a Lenovo X1 Gen 7 laptop that won’t start. It was used for video watching for about two hours before it stopped working. The previous owner didn’t report any major issues. Here’s what I tried:

- No boot indicator light, only charger light is on
- Fan doesn’t spin when power button is pressed
- Used reset pinhole to discharge the battery
- Tried booting with wall charger after removing the battery
- Removed the motherboard for inspection (none found)
- Swapped in a working M.2 drive
- Checked the battery – it reads 16V (the actual is 15.4V/3164mAh)
- Ran CMOS test – it shows 0V, suggesting a dead CMOS

I’m guessing the CMOS is faulty, which might prevent the system from booting even to the BIOS. Any tips would be great!

Hey! It seems like you're experiencing the same issue again. Did you check for a dead CMOS? I hope it's just that easy!
