Problem with Lenovo laptop camera drivers
Problem with Lenovo laptop camera drivers
Hey everyone! Happy new year! About two days ago my camera suddenly stopped working. I've tried everything to fix it and think it's just a driver problem. It shows up as hidden in the Device Manager. If I delete or remove that driver, it comes back on for a short while and works fine again. But then right after, it goes black and the computer thinks the camera is disconnected because of hardware issues. Even though my computer says it doesn't work through the hardwired connection (like when I keep Discord's video settings open forcing it to show a black screen), sometimes in just 1 to 10 minutes, the camera starts working again. But if I don't use the camera with any other apps, it hides back up in Device Manager and disconnects itself. I've checked all the options but can't figure out what's wrong. The privacy settings are enabled, so that's not the issue. Please help me! If you need anything else, let me know! Thanks in advance. Speccy: https://prnt.sc/qb4yfzo5rkfJ DevManager link is here (also, I noticed yesterday there was only one driver for ACP node, today a second one appeared. What's happening with this? This is Windows 11 btw)
Welcome to the forums and Happy New Year! As a new person here, did you manually install all drivers for your laptop using an elevated command like Right click>Run as Administrator? You can use your laptop's serial number on that site to get a special driver or BIOS page. Speaking of BIOS, maybe check if there are any updates coming soon. This is Windows 11, btw, Mind sharing where you got the installer for your OS?
UPDATE: Just updated my laptop bios from the Lenovo system detect web page, everything is fine, but the camera driver problem still persist.
