I recently purchased the game and haven’t been able to start it because it consumes memory and RAM constantly. I’m eager to play but don’t want to lose my investment. My PC specs are an i5-11400 with an RTX 3060ti, 16GB DDR4, and a PS. The memory usage is typical for normal operation, yet the game still crashes even when run without it.

FH4 demands a lot of memory, often using over 12/16GB RAM. It has strict requirements for hardware and graphics settings. Trying GeForce Experience with low presets usually doesn’t work.

8g sticks were once super popular. Forza titles, games inspired by COD MW and MSFS are common examples. They typically store 12gb or more. Time to move up to 32, I think...

I haven't managed to start the game because it only loads and then freezes or stops, causing crashes. That's likely why my settings are empty in the GeForce Experience.

It wasn't something I expected, but I think it's time to make an improvement.

FH4 functions well with 16GB of memory. It doesn’t seem overly demanding on lower-spec systems. I often play FH4 on a machine with an i7-2600 and a 4GB RX 570, achieving smooth performance at 1440p. Last year I used an i7-2600 with a 2GB GTX 680 and it worked perfectly at 1080p. Still, I’m curious about the role of Steam—did you purchase FH4 via Steam or through the Microsoft Store?

I purchased it via MS, yet many have expressed frustration about the Steam process—it often feels like a gamble if it doesn’t work.

Thanks a lot! I’ll just cancel the purchase and consider trying Forza Horizon 5 instead, hoping it works out better. Appreciate the support!

It's actually more problematic when considering taxing the system, and also as a game. Perhaps it's best to try Horizon 3; I don't believe the launcher is responsible since I have access to the titles on both versions.
