I improved my previous Asus X441UB RAM with a Kingston KVR21815S8/8 stick (Datasheet). In October 2021 it functions properly up to now. The laptop fails to boot into BIOS when the 8 GB stick is present. It still boots to the operating system and operates with the 4 GB soldered RAM. I attempted a BIOS update but had no success. I believe the RAM isn't the problem since it handled the full 12 GB total memory smoothly, even during intense usage like R6 Siege before it stopped working.

Specs:
Asus X441UB-GA042T
Intel Core i3 6006U
Nvidia MX110
4 GB 2133 Mhz internal soldered RAM, one upgrade slot
V-GEN 120 GB SSD
HGST 1000 GB HDD (installed on the questionable second caddy that replaces the DVD burner)

Confirm that the included ram stick is no longer functional based on your explanation.

Ah ok, never expected my laptop to kill a fricking RAM stick before. I guess I'll ask the seller about this and they'll exchange it for a new one 😀
