I recently received a laptop (ASUS Vivobook 15 F512DA) from a relative for university use. When I turned it on, the fans started spinning at full speed right away. After booting up, the system time showed about 30 seconds and the CPU speed dropped to 0.40GHz while the base was at 2.10GHz. Checked the MyAsus guide and found the temperature stuck at 98°C, but Hardware Monitor reported around 30°C throughout. After opening the case, there was no visible damage and the fans looked clean. I updated all drivers and BIOS, but the issue persists. Any advice or support would be really helpful. Edited January 16, 2024 by ijaaz
