Hello, it looks like VRChat has several problems for you. Your audio quality drops after a short time, there are frequent frame drops and stutters, and after about five minutes in a busy lobby your headphones cut out completely. Your current setup isn’t working well—what should I do?

It seems like your system might be struggling with the hard drive. I noticed a similar problem in GTA V, and it feels like the sound is popping. Am I right? Does this happen across all games or mainly in VRChat?

You enjoyed Beat Saber well, with only minor "pop" sounds. VRChat appears to be less smooth compared to it. It might be related to your settings. Your headphones are connected to the Rift.

You're explaining your experience clearly. The strange noises you mentioned seem similar to a failing hard drive. I recall this issue only appeared in GTA V for me, and I tried replicating it in World of Warcraft but didn't get it either. It took around 30 minutes before the popping sound developed in GTA V. Now I often hear a lot of popping sounds, which is a bit embarrassing. However, when that noise happened, my games would stutter significantly. It definitely feels like your hard drive is acting up. Switching from an old SSSD to an SSD resolved the problem.

Hey there! I’m checking if there’s another hard drive nearby that might help with the popping sounds and other issues. I’m trying to figure out if swapping it could make a difference, especially since the problem isn’t limited to my desktop or certain games. It’s tough to test PC parts until they actually work for me.
