You're facing a connectivity issue with your older MSI motherboard setup. It seems the problem occurs mainly during gaming sessions, especially with certain games like CSGO and Overwatch. The connection drops for 15-30 seconds, interrupting your matches. You've checked the router and ruled out cable issues, but the problem persists. Driver updates didn't help either. The issue has been happening consistently for about six months, sometimes more severe than other times. If you're planning a new upgrade later, it's wise to investigate further now. Let me know if you need more guidance!

You assess the issue by thinking about typical router behavior. Many connections drop briefly—15 to 30 seconds—without you realizing because other tasks aren’t demanding low latency.

It's not the router at all. My work computer and other devices in my home are linked to it without any problems. It seems to work perfectly for me. Only during gaming does it occasionally drop, but that’s different from what happens when I’m using it for Photoshop with my wife nearby. I think there might have been brief outages, but not the same as gaming. Quick note: I haven’t checked if another device is connected through Ethernet. Everything else uses Wi-Fi, so I doubt that’s the issue. Edited April 28, 2020 by Kryobelly

Photoshop isn't connected at the moment, so any interruption won't be obvious.

First, Adobe is mostly cloud based, so it would affect it in some ways; and secondly in the notification tray next to the time, when the internet is active and working, there's and icon (pic attached). When the internet goes out, this icon goes away and is replaced with a connection error notification icon. I've never seen it just do it while I'm on the desktop or browsing the internet.
