The issue I’m facing is that after a fresh Windows installation and signing in, no Wi-Fi appears. I removed the file and reinstalled it, but the driver still doesn’t update. This is my first PC build—please let me know if you need more details. Thanks!

Have you installed the manufacturer's chipset drivers? WiFi and Ethernet are distinct interfaces requiring separate drivers. Some newer Intel 1225 series adapters (especially the 2.5GB models) have encountered problems, though updates have been issued. For detailed guidance, check your motherboard manufacturer’s website or support page.

I haven’t installed them yet. I need to add the drivers from a working PC to my new build. I believe I’ve figured it out, so let me know if I’m on the right track. Thanks! I’m pretty confident this should work, though I’m not entirely sure.

You're confirming your belief. It seems the previous versions caused problems, which is why updated models were developed to address those issues.

The problem was resolved by downloading the file to a USB drive and installing the driver. I plan to get a PCIe Wi-Fi card to avoid using Ethernet. Thanks for your assistance!

Do you know that Ethernet offers greater reliability? It's usually a safer choice when possible.
