My brothers' gaming laptop isn't turning on properly. The power button flashes briefly when pressed, but nothing happens. We plan to let the battery drain completely and then recharge it to check if that fixes the issue. Anyone have any advice? We've also tried resetting it by holding the power button for 15 seconds. It really needs to work, and ant solutions might help.

It's around three years old, so the warranty might be gone. I'm not sure which model it is.

Ensure the battery is detachable and attempt to launch the laptop using only the AC power supply. Upon successful startup, Windows will display information regarding the battery's condition.
