Hey everyone, any ideas? Two weeks ago I purchased an HP Compaq Pro 6300 to use as a server. It performed perfectly until today when I added a PCIe M2 card for improved speed. Remember, before this Windows 11 installation there were no issues. After installing the card, I booted from a USB drive and everything worked smoothly—Windows detected the 240GB M2 and installed without problems. Once I restarted, there was no boot error. I checked online and found it might need a BIOS update. I delayed updating but needed the PC to stay on until I could do it. I didn’t apply the update yet. Then I took out the expansion card and reinserted the SSD. Now the machine won’t power on at all—just a blank screen, no beeps, just silence. Only occasional memory beeps appear if I remove the RAM completely. It powers up twice or three times before reaching full speed, then stays on. Still no success. I tried resetting the BIOS, testing different RAM combinations, removing the BIOS jumper, disconnecting the battery, using a new CMOS battery, adding a graphics card, and even swapping in another CPU—but nothing worked.

Reinserting the PCIe M2 might trigger a no-boot media error. Have you considered installing both the M2 and SATA SSD, then choosing to boot from the SSD in BIOS? This could help restore access to Windows for further troubleshooting.

I attempted it before but nothing appears. Can't share anything without a link.
