Problem with headset identification on Lenovo V15-IGL running Windows 11
Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing issues with my Rampage Prestige Virtual 7.1 Surround Gaming Headset (model SN-RW77). When connected to my Lenovo V15-IGL running Windows 11, the RGB lights fail to activate and the headset isn't detected by my PC. I've tried several solutions:
Checked all USB ports, restarted the PC, installed drivers, enabled compatibility mode, inspected Device Manager, adjusted BIOS/UEFI settings, and modified power management options.
The barcode on the headset matches a different model (Rampage FAVORY Black 7.1 USB Surround Gaming Headphone), yet it looks identical to the Prestige.
Specifications:
Lenovo V15-IGL
Windows 11
USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports tested
Symptoms:
RGB lights on the headset do not turn on.
Headset remains unrecognized in Device Manager or sound settings.
Sound still comes from the laptop speakers.
Any suggestions or fixes would be helpful. Thanks!
Update: The headset doesn't work even when plugged into a TV and an AC USB adapter—possibly a hardware issue.
Hello, there has been an update for the bios on Lenovo and I installed it (after attempting to install the prestiges model driver). Additionally, the driver for the other model that matches the barcode was added, but nothing changed. That driver is for the model with the matching barcode, though it doesn't appear to be the actual headset.
That's the model I purchased. However, the barcode shown on the website doesn't match the one on the headset case. When I searched for the barcode from the box, I found: this product, you can check barcodes and drivers for both models.
Additionally, there is no USB device listed among the audio devices.
