So during a game, my PC abruptly shut down and restarted repeatedly. It got stuck in an infinite loop of automatic repair without being able to identify the problem. I realized my NVMe boot drive wasn’t appearing in the BIOS, so I thought it had failed and removed it.
I reinstalled Windows onto a SATA SSD. While attempting to download Steam games, I experienced two BSODs. The first displayed "critical process died," and the second showed "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR."
Now it boots directly into BIOS, and the SATA drive isn’t listed in my storage details.
I’m uncertain about what’s happening. I already purchased a replacement boot drive, but I’m starting to suspect there might be a more serious issue. My system has a Ryzen 7600, 4070 Super, NVMe, 32GB DDR5, ROG B650A Gaming Wi-Fi.
EDIT: Just now I double-checked that every cable connected to the PSU was securely plugged in. The CPU cable might have been slightly loose? Honestly, it’s 4 a.m. and I’m very confused—please don’t rely on my explanation.
After this, Windows couldn’t load properly. I ran the troubleshooter, which claimed it had removed some recently installed updates to recover from failure. So far, downloading games has gone smoothly, but I’m holding my breath.

I executed sfc /scannow which fixed some damaged Windows files. Once I reinstalled the Samsung Evo it functioned properly again. CrystalDiskInfo showed all drives are healthy, so likely a corrupted Windows setup was the issue, even though I couldn’t load Windows without checking the PSU cables.

What RAM setup?
4x8GB ?
2x16GB ?
Consider using a single RAM module.
