Mainly a fresh installation – the GPU uses the latest PC model. An Asrock Z690 mITX DDR5 Intel I7 12700K Teamgroup 5200Mhz DDR5 (16GB x2) EVGA Supernova 850W 80+ plat EVGA 3060 12GB Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 is included. The fans spin when first turned on but shut off afterward. If I leave it running with the system on, it gets hot quickly, so I avoid prolonged use to prevent damage. I updated the motherboard BIOS, cleared CMOS, and installed the drivers available in Windows. Nvidia drivers failed because the card wasn't detected. Fresh Windows 11 64bit iGPU output is functioning properly. The GPU performed well in my previous build and still does on another machine. An Nvidia 1050 also works on this new setup.

I have this as my sole method to access the BIOS and Windows. Connecting through the GPU doesn’t show any signal. I’m using just one HDMI cable, which means no connection is made to the integrated graphics when I try to send video output from the GPU.

Have you checked the BIOS settings and chosen the appropriate PCI for the GPU? If not, it may default to built-in graphics.

In the chipset menu, the available graphics choices are limited to 'integrated' and 'auto'. Since I’m not very familiar with Asrock, I’m unsure if there are other options to explore. There’s no choice for PCIE 1 (only one slot on this board), which suggests it might not be accessing the GPU directly.

Have you attempted removing the GPU, reinstalling it, and verifying the connection to the PSU? It might have been overlooked.

I've adjusted the GPU multiple times, tried various cables and a different power supply port, and even reinstalled the 1050. In the BIOS, it lists PCIe1 in the chipset options, while the 3060 remains unrecognized. I switched it from auto to PCIe1, expecting it to prioritize that lane, but switching back to the 3060 still doesn't work. Now with the 3060 installed, the menu is blank and only shows auto and integrated again.

Your MOBO isn't detecting your GPU due to a power issue or lack of fan operation. It seems the PSU or GPU combination might be faulty. You might not have another PSU available for testing, which would help identify whether the problem lies with the power supply or the MOBO itself.

I also have another PSU from my previous configuration. It's a 550W unit, but I'm not focusing on pushing the system too hard—just getting it to boot with the GPU. I've tried it before, but nothing worked. It seems the motherboard might be the issue.

It'll definitely be the MOBO, but there are some GPU issues. It's a letdown. You'll need to spend more money. While setting up a new rig would be great for everyone, these problems still occur. It can be frustrating when it shouldn't work.
