Problem with GPU on Hackintosh running Windows dual boot
Hey everyone, I set up a high-end Sierra Hackintosh on a separate drive for Windows 10. At first, I faced problems trying to boot directly from the MacOS drive using Clover Boot Manager after installation. I assumed my RTX 2080 was the issue, and it seemed right. Once I fully removed the card, everything worked perfectly—no network or audio problems, just smooth performance.
Now I’m thinking about a solution: should I temporarily reinstall the graphics card for Windows sessions while keeping it onboard enabled for MacOS? Also, when I enable onboard graphics (the iGPU feature), sometimes the graphics card fails to communicate properly—my MoBo shows a 99 error code and it doesn’t display. I need to route the cable through MoBo first, then switch to the dedicated GPU afterward. If that works, I can still keep onboard graphics active for MacOS but avoid constantly plugging and unplugging cables. Thanks for following along!
