I'm dealing with a challenging problem with my Lenovo P3 Tower and am seeking assistance.
System Specifications:
Model: Lenovo P3 Tower
GPU: NVIDIA T400 4 GB
Current Operating System: Ubuntu 22.10 (Kinetic Kudu)
The Problem:
I recently had my computer repaired, and the technicians confirmed that the drivers were installed properly. Still, I'm unable to enter the BIOS to make adjustments, no matter how many times I attempt it.
What I've Attempted:
Repeatedly pressing standard keys (F2, F12, Esc, Del, etc.) during startup—over 100 times without success.
Trying a different keyboard and changing USB connections.
Using Ubuntu's sudo systemctl reboot --firmware-setup to reach BIOS.
Disabling Fast Boot and Secure Boot through Ubuntu settings.
The repair center provided a photo indicating they could access the BIOS, but I'm still unable to do so on my end.
What I Need:
Understanding why I can't access the BIOS even though it worked for them.
Are there any special techniques or uncommon methods I should try to enter the BIOS on a Lenovo P3 Tower?
Could this issue be linked to the drivers or other software problems?
Is there a method to reset or force entry into the BIOS using hardware, such as a specific jumper or button on the motherboard?
I'm planning to upgrade from Ubuntu 22.10 to 22.04 LTS for stability, but I need to boot from a USB drive to do so. Any advice or suggestions would be very helpful! Thank you in advance.
When the system starts, it should press F1 key once to enter BIOS or fN + F1, depending on your keyboard.
