To give a clearer picture, I upgraded my CPU for my editing setup (from 5600x to 5950x) and switched from air cooling to a Kraken Z73. Recently, I’ve faced black screens and failed Windows repair attempts upon startup. I moved my crucial files to another SSD and wiped the old data, then performed a fresh Windows installation. The setup went well initially, but after about five minutes of playing Elden Ring, the screen went black again. The mouse and keyboard stopped working, CPU temperature dropped to zero, and the PC wouldn’t shut down unless I flipped the PSU switch. That last step was my usual response to a blue screen or old black screens before a fresh install. Now I’m worried it could be a mix of software and hardware problems. In most cases, the LiveKernelEvent Code 141 points to GPU issues. When launching games, check your GPU/VRAM and CPU temperatures. Remember, Elden Ring is a newer title—test with other games as well. Consider using DDU in safe mode and verify your PSU supply.
I plan to try a CMOS reset today. I’ve already removed and reinstalled the GPU drivers via the AMD uninstaller, so should I still rely on DDU for backup? The black screen also occurs in other games.
Consider trying DDU as well. I've noticed instances where standard uninstallers sometimes leave things behind.

Could the issue lie with the PSU or the motherboard? I installed the 5700G separately in my rig without the 6800X and it ran Elden Ring for hours without problems. I swapped in the 5950X and 6800X with a B550, 250GB NVMe, 750W Bronze power setup plus specs, using the same drivers—no black screen. This time I played Destiny 2 because it had a black screen on my main rig. I have many peripherals in my editing rig (360mm AIO cooler, 11 fans, fan hub, 4 NVMe, 1 SATA SSD, 2 HDDs), so I’m wondering if the PSU or motherboard is struggling.
For sure could be! Since you have another build try using your current problem build as is and only change out for the older 750w PSU and it's cables (cables are NOT interchangeable). You don't have to put it all in and cable manage. Just keep the 850 PSU where it is and undo the power cables and let them sit somewhere. Then keep the other PSU outside the case if you like and hookup the needed 12v ATX, CPU and PCIe cables to test And just to make sure, you are using 2 SEPARATE PCIe cables for each GPU connector right? Do not daisy chain those
