I play Forza Horizon 3 and every now and then I experience a crash on my PC, the game freezes and I see a gray screen and my desktop, with no warnings or anything. Today it crashed again , just like that, and I immediately started the game again. After 3 minutes of playing for the 2nd time, a BSOD was shown and the sound was frozen but still in the background and then my PC rebooted. BSOD attached Can anyone help or is experiencing something similar? specs: HP 8300 ELITE SFF I5 3570 12 gb DDR3 1600mhz Ram GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB Samsung 250 GB 850 EVO Sata 3 2.5" No XBOX one or 360
I became accustomed to CTD, yet this was the first time it triggered a BSOD.
Typically I encountered a Display driver crash in Event Viewer, but now it doesn’t show anything.
Right now my game runs smoothly at 1050p with ultra settings, MSAA 4x plus FXAA enabled, and AA set to 4x. Even with the lowest preset, it still crashes more often than when using high or ultra settings—this is quite unusual.
Sure, the adjustments aren't very impactful here – the game still launches fine, though it isn't the best performance. It relies heavily on the CPU, and if the processor is pushed too far, it can cause crashes.
