I recently upgraded Firefox a few days back, but since then I've faced several performance issues. The browser feels slow and unresponsive, tabs close slowly, and it consumes a lot of memory—often surpassing 1.2GB even with just 12 open tabs. Previously, I could manage 50 or 60 tabs across 6 to 7 windows smoothly. This was why Firefox was my top choice; Chrome tends to cause system crashes when I try to open that many tabs. Are others experiencing similar problems?

It's quite unexpected for this to occur.

It wasn't exactly what I expected, but perhaps it will resolve on its own after some restarts.

I just turned it off again before making the update. Checked everything—virus scans, malware checks, etc. It seems this is the first restart in more than a month.

Your system is currently using 1.2 GB of space. What amount of RAM do you have available?

4GB memory is a problem. It leads to performance drops, particularly when launching Hearthstone. Closing every window isn’t feasible.

Your system is currently utilizing a significant amount of RAM. With 12 tabs open in Firefox and playing Hearthstone, the memory usage is likely high.

I need too many warnings before I can safely switch Alt Tab to Windows without risking crashes or extreme slowness. It seems Chrome behaves similarly, using up resources just like this. Having more RAM isn’t an option right now.

Set up adblock and ghostery to filter out unwanted content. Only allow trusted sites through. This should greatly reduce RAM consumption.
