Problem with exiting BIOS on a newly assembled PC
Problem with exiting BIOS on a newly assembled PC
I just completed the build but when I power it on it immediately enters BIOS. When attempting to exit, the PC restarts but remains on the same BIOS screen. I have an SSD with Windows 10 installed in the first SATA slot and a standard hard drive in the second. I've already tried rearranging them and removing the HDD. The BIOS display shows all my components connected—SSD, HDD, RAM, CPU, etc.—so I’m unsure why it won’t boot.
Additionally, when booting the motherboard, there’s a white light cycling through CPU, RAM, VGA, and then stays on “BOOT.” Is this normal? Does it indicate a problem with the boot process?
Another possible issue is my GPU. I previously had difficulty connecting the display port, and even after booting to BIOS, I’ve seen “No DP” on the monitor a few times before reaching BIOS. My GPU fans also stop spinning shortly after entering BIOS. Is this typical for a 4070?
Anyone have suggestions on why I can’t get to Windows? Thanks.
A fresh installation of Windows is required. The only storage device connected will be used for the clean install.
Completed the transition from UEFI to CSM, successfully booting into Windows without any issues.
