Two weeks ago my internet service provider visited to improve the connection throughout my home after several complaints about reliability and overall performance. I wasn’t there when they arrived, but when I got back, I powered on my PC to see if everything was functioning properly and noticed no connection. The Ethernet port had stopped working. Since then, I haven’t had much opportunity to fix it. Last night I tried removing the drivers and restarting the computer, but that didn’t help. One of the LEDs flashes orange when I connect the Ethernet cable and then turns off.

Also, the cable isn't the issue; it functions with other devices.

I need to resolve this right away. Is there a fast solution available, or would it be better to purchase a PCIe network card?
