You're experiencing a boot issue where Windows and Kali Linux appear to conflict during startup, especially on NVMe SSDs. The default settings favor Windows, but you can manually choose the OS in BIOS for a different experience. If this happens consistently, it might indicate a compatibility problem or incorrect partitioning. Check your boot order, ensure both OS partitions are correctly formatted, and verify that no conflicting drivers are interfering.

Disable the quick startup or fast boot settings in your BIOS and check if the issue resolves.

I’d consider giving it a shot here https://www.minitool.com/data-recovery/f...0000e.html The provided fixes are reliable options to help recover the boot section of the drive. By the way, Kali Linux isn’t ideal for everyday use because it requires root privileges for certain utilities. You might find this discussion useful: https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?1...ing-system. It’s just a note—feel free to try it if you still want.

I appreciate that. I’ll give them a shot. Sadly, I’m limited to using Kali for my cybersecurity courses.
