Problem with double-clicking on the Cougar Minos X3 mouse?
Hello everyone, the issue concerns my Cougar mouse's double-clicking problem on the left side. I need to replace its switch but don’t know how to open it since there are no visible screws or clear signs. I reached out to another forum (Ifixit) but received no replies. I’d really appreciate any help, as fixing it would be important even though other functions work fine. I’ll share my question on the site because uploading pictures isn’t possible, and I hope someone can locate the opening area.
Hello, thank you for your message. I'm not certain about the location of the skates in the images. If you'd like, I can add more photos if that would help.
I understand you're wondering about the appropriate tool for removing something, and you're considering using a spudger. It might be useful to confirm whether a spudger is suitable for your specific task.
Yes, that works well, especially with an iFixIt tool kit. You need something sharp that can reach under one edge and lift it off easily, without bending or creasing it too much. It should retain a decent amount of adhesive so you can reapply it later once everything is reassembled.
Thank you for the clarification. The images were uploaded in my previous response, but I didn’t display them directly. If you’d like, I can provide more details about how they were shared.
Click the small image in the top bar then simply upload the picture.
