Problem with CPU power cord on motherboard
I recently purchased a Corsair CX650M power supply for an MSI K96NPGM2-V motherboard. The parts store confirms compatibility, but the CPU power cord doesn’t fit because a component on the board blocks its path into the socket. The socket has four pins, while the cord has eight, and although the left side fits, the small wire-wrapped wheel prevents the right side from entering. The right four pins don’t match either. Is there a solution to make it work, or is this power supply incompatible?
EDIT: I now understand the parts store lists a different motherboard model, so the issue lies with the board itself.
