Problem with Corsair 6400MHz RAM – Works reliably at 4200MHz only
Hey there, I set up my PC a few months back using the Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MHz CL36. After adjusting some BIOS settings based on a guide, everything ran smoothly until suddenly crashes and blue screens appeared. Now I’m stuck keeping things stable by forcing the RAM to run at 4200MHz. I’d love to get back to the full 6400MHz—anyone know what could have caused this? Could it be related to the BIOS, memory wear, or another issue? Any tips would be super helpful!
System specs: CPU – Intel i7-14700K, GPU – ASRock Phantom Gaming, AMD RX 7800XT, Motherboard – ASUS ROG STRIX B760-F, RAM – Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) at 6400MHz, PSU – MSI MPG A850G, Cooling – MSI MEG CORELIQUID S360 AIO plus fans, Storage – 2TB SSD. Thanks in advance for your advice!
Ram installed in slots A2 and B2. Activate XMP support. If issues persist, adjust settings for frequency, voltage, and timing manually. Consider resetting CMOS or updating BIOS/ME firmware. Ensure the ME driver is current.
