Problem with connecting your laptop to an external display.
I am trying to help a buddy with a very odd issue surrounding an external display connected to a laptop. Below I have detailed the issue and steps we have taken so far to try and correct the issue. This is an ongoing issue we are actively trouble shooting so I will come back and make updates periodically. I have not been able to find anything online relating specifically to this issue, most post that i have found across the internet are caused by odd adapters which are not present in this case. My Goal in this post is to have a public documentation of this issue so that if solved, may help someone in the future who is frustrated and searching the internet for a fix. ISSUE: When Attempting to use the "extended display" option on affected laptop, external display shows No Signal. DETAILS: Issue first arose after "changing some display option. related to HDR?" per eu. Laptop is using Intel integrated graphics, No dedicated GPU Display is plugged into laptop through HDMI port, with an HDMI cord and no adapters. Display works if "duplicate" is selected. Display won't work under "second screen only" and reverts back to "duplicate".
