I've been experiencing stutters and audio delays with all my Bluetooth gadgets. I searched online for fixes: 1) Being near a 2.4GHz router caused interference—yes, I was close, but moved away and it still happened. 2) Re-pairing the devices didn't help. 3) Reinstalling drivers seemed uncertain; I'm worried about missing the right ones or not getting them. Need advice on Intel i5-4210M.

I'm planning to wait for a response. I've also seen this happen recently (about a week ago). One thing that sometimes works is enabling airplane mode and switching it off, or when you're doing offline tasks, turning off your Wi-Fi completely—not just disconnecting.

It might be an issue originating from Windows itself. It seems the problem persists across multiple Bluetooth devices, not just one. I tested with Android 13 and it functioned properly, but my Windows version didn’t. Since I’m enrolled in a LinkedIn course that requires headphones, I have no alternative but to explore a USB-A to 3.5mm adapter. The proprietary 3.5mm jack isn’t compatible with this laptop.

The BT gadgets seem to function properly when placed near your laptop, suggesting the issue might not be with Bluetooth itself. I was planning to discuss range and positioning, but it appears less probable now. Could you share other sound equipment that connects via a different method? It’s possible the problem lies elsewhere. Are there any devices besides BT that use alternative connection techniques? Regarding drivers, since your CPU is quite old, it’s likely Bluetooth is too. If BT relies on an Intel chipset, Intel DSA can detect and provide updates for many Intel-based devices. The most common ones are GPU, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

This laptop has a 3.5MM jack damaged, so I’ll stick to that unless I test something else. I’ll let you know how it goes! @Hellowpplz This could be useful for you too!

Take a look at the details—site claims no new updates, yet the app shows one available. This inconsistency is confusing. What should I do?

Restart the device and attempt once more. If no changes appear, consider removing it and reinstalling it later. Alternatively, try a more affordable wired headset as a backup.

I'll give it a shot! As you mentioned before, my 3.5mm jack isn't working properly—it doesn't connect to any devices and just plays through the speakers. That's why I was using Bluetooth. Now my only choice is to get a cheap USB-A to 3.5mm converter.
