Problem with AMD RX 6800 graphics card at 3440x1440p resolution. Speed issues or display problems reported.
Hello, I've recently switched to 144hz refresh rate and the monitor started flickering. Horizontal lines keep poping out every now and then. Same with 120hz refreshrate. I tried using this custom resolution utility but it doesn't work for me. There is no 3440x1440 p resolution offered in the "Standard resolutions" nor can I add it. Additionally, I can't add refresh rate to "Detailed resolutions" higher than 122 hz. Nevertheless, the flickering is there even with 120hz, which is super anoying. While browsing, watching movies etc it's fine with 50hz, no big deal. But while playing games it's a huge difference. And imediatelly after I swtich to higher than 50hz the flickers are there. And yes, driver is up to date.... Monitor is : Xiaomi Mi 34.0" 3440 x 1440 144 Hz Curved Monitor Any help here is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
You're asking about the difference in behavior between the two ports you're using. It seems the flickering has decreased noticeably, though it's still present. The change to a different port on the monitor and GPU might have helped stabilize the display.
The resolution should identify itself automatically, eliminating the need for a complicated tool to render it at the correct size.
