Successfully resolved the issue! I wasn't familiar with daisy chaining cables, so opting for two separate ones solved the problem.
Typically with two 8 pins from the same cable, it works fine. However, when using a card needing multiple 8-pin connectors, I prefer to run both cables together. For example, my 6800xt requires three 8-pin connections, so I use two cables and only need to daisy chain one. It's safer to split the load between them.
