Problem with accessing BIOS settings
Problem with accessing BIOS settings
Hello, I just set up my first computer with Windows 10 64-bit and the latest drivers. I'm trying to update the BIOS and turn on XMP but can't access it. The Aorus screen doesn't appear during startup. Even after repeatedly deleting and restarting, I can't get into BIOS. My monitor keeps looping between HDMI-No signal and sleep mode. I connected directly to the motherboard instead of the graphics card, but nothing works. I'm checking all possible settings to fix this issue. Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 7950x3D, MSI GeForce RTX 4090, X670E Aorus, Power supply HX1000i, RAM Delta DDR5 2x16GB at 6600MHz. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
I don't understand, so I'm wondering if the delete key is actually the "enter BIOS/UEFI" button? Since there are various keys for different boards and brands. I've also noticed F8 and F2. Make sure to consult your manual for accuracy. (too lazy to verify myself)
The instructions suggest using the delete function to access BIOS, which makes it unclear what’s happening. If xmp isn’t critical, I’d skip it. Otherwise, consider reaching out to a Gigabyte representative for help. As a last resort, you can return it and purchase a new one. Good luck!
Have you attempted resetting the CMOS with a motherboard jumper?
Your motherboard may not display the splash screen (Fast Boot? I can't remember the exact name). For now, try this: In Windows, click the power options button, hold Control and Shift, then press Restart. You'll see a menu—likely go to Advanced Options. There should be an option to enter BIOS, probably labeled something like UEFI Firmware.
