I've come across much discussion about CPU issues with core parking, but my concern is different. I'm using a setup with three monitors and launching a "registered game" for parking. However, any video or YouTube playing on the second monitor freezes or stutters. I disabled gaming mode, which helped temporarily, but the problem persists with Drivebeyondhorizons and ETS2. Still, my YouTube and VLC continue to freeze after switching from my previous AMD R9 3900X setup. I had two games running simultaneously without issues before. Anyone has any insights or does this seem typical for this CPU? My specs are: GPU - 3070TI, CPU - 9950X3D RAM, DDR5 6000 M/T, 64GB RAM, Motherboard - ASUS Prime X870-P v1028, software driver 25.5.1. I don’t have Ryzen Master installed as advised.

After some time adjusting, I'm feeling uncertain about what to try next. It seems the CPU might be causing issues, especially when running games and streaming at the same time. The performance feels sluggish or stuttering, even after stopping the game. It could be related to how the game and streaming apps share the same hardware resources. I don’t know how to fix it or which cores to prioritize. Games I’ve tried include Euro Truck Simulator 2, Drive Beyond Horizon, and 7DTD.

You probably didn’t need to reinstall again since you built the system two weeks ago. The driver info should be visible through the AMD software, not just the system installer.

You're wondering if the system is still using the older Zen 2 version. It looks like Windows should be current, and the Game Bar needs updating too. X870 drivers are in place.

You seem to be facing confusion about your graphics drivers. It looks like you checked AMD’s site for the newest chipset driver but found a different version on ASUS’s site instead. This might indicate an issue with the driver files or compatibility. The image from the motherboard website (ASUS) could help confirm whether the correct driver is available there.

Game bar needs to be current; I just started using it and should auto-update if available. It seems Windows isn’t showing any new updates either. I have the newest AMD driver, but I’m not sure if I need one from ASUS site.

I didn't add anything from Asus. I just installed Windows, set up the GPU and chipset drivers, and it's been running since about January. I even managed to beat it using some unstable memory clocking. It still works fine. When playing games, it runs on the first CCD because I think that's where the fast cores are. I notice boosts above 5800MHz on those cores and threads. Usually I see around 5650MHz as the max average.

My processor operates correctly as expected. It pauses the cores according to the resmon settings—0 to 15 active, 16 to 21 idle—and boosts at 5.7. It appears everything functions properly. Could it be that the issue isn't with my CPU itself, but rather with the NVDA GPU driver? I haven’t updated it since encountering several problems with the latest version. I read on Reddit a while ago that sticking with version 566.36 might be better, as newer updates could drop FPS in games compared to the older one. I plan to test driver 572.83 and see if it improves performance. Updated May 23, 2025 by Faplas.
