Problem with 2.5GB Ethernet adapter connection.
About a month back my LAN adapter wouldn't power up and Windows didn't even see it at first. I assumed the board was faulty since it also caused power problems. I sent it to RMA, and they confirmed it wasn't the LAN issue but rather a power one. They replaced my board, which I got yesterday. After my second boot, the LAN had trouble turning on—about 30 seconds to a minute after Windows started. It would briefly light up for around five seconds before switching off, and this cycle kept repeating until it worked. What could be causing this? It's really annoying and I'm not sure if the board is still the problem. Thanks for any advice on this. This is super frustrating.
EDIT: I think I put it in the wrong category and don't know how to remove this post. I rewrote it under Networking. If anyone can delete it, that would be great. Prior to the board replacement, it had the newest BIOS and drivers. I’m completely unsure what’s happening now. I came across information about the new 2.5GB Realtek Onboard LAN experiencing connection issues, but that doesn’t match my situation. Before the change, the network adapter wouldn’t power on at all and now it shows an unusual delay.
