I'm working on assembling my first PC and thought about overclocking the CPU, but anything above 3.2MHz is only giving me about 1 fps in Firestike? My heatsink has also begun making loud noises since I tried the overclock, so could that have caused damage? Should I upgrade the CPU or are there other suggestions I should consider? Any advice would be appreciated.

i wouldn't suggest using an OC with an AIR cooler unless that's your plan.
for better FPS improvements, focus on upgrading your GPU rather than relying solely on your CPU.
i'd also recommend replacing your CPU and adding a MOBO for optimal performance.
