I was attempting to detach a SATA SSD from my PC. The drive didn’t have Windows installed, but after removal the boot manager didn’t show up in the BIOS and the computer wouldn’t start. When I reinstalled it, everything worked fine. Could you clarify what’s happening? Your disk manager window screenshot might help. Windows is installed on disk 2, while disk 0 is the one you’re trying to remove. Is it possible that the EFI partition remains on disk 0 even though Windows is on disk 2? How would you move the EFI partition if that’s the case? Thanks.
