I've also tried reinstalling Windows via the installer, but it keeps showing "Windows failed to install." No one else seems to have encountered this problem.
Because the reset isn't helping, why not make a new bootable USB and install the operating system again? That would ensure you get the most recent version on your device. I realized i need to erase everything since i have files from the previous drive and i'm sure a fresh install won't fully clear it.
While we're discussing this, I upgraded my motherboard on my main PC and received advice here about doing a fresh Windows install. I used the same installer I mentioned earlier, and I haven't encountered any issues so far. I'm wondering if it's necessary to be concerned now.

Should the drive have been completely wiped, there wouldn't be an operational Windows version available for users to revert to until the fresh installation is successfully finished.
